The parasols are up at the Grand Hôtel Terrace

The Grand Hôtel’s sidewalk dining and bar area is once again open for the summer season, this year with an exciting new cocktail menu, a more elaborate snack menu and an expanded lounge area. At the Terrace, guests can enjoy cool summer cocktails, delectable food and an unbeatable view of the royal palace.

The Terrace at the Grand Hôtel offers relaxed sidewalk seating, inspired by southern Europe. This attractive al fresco area comprises two unique settings – a lounge area with generous sofas, armchairs and a large bar, as well as a dining section with table seating for guests. New this year is an expanded lounge area, with the bar moved to a different spot to make more room for guests. The Terrace offers a comprehensive bar menu featuring lighter meals. Moreover, the al fresco dining and bar area is now equipped to handle all types of weather from strong sun to rain.

The menu includes classics such as Chèvre Chaud and Salad Lyonnais, as well as grilled vegetables, Calamari Fritti and other international dishes. For those who would like to enjoy a drink in the sun, the bar serves everything from Champagne, cocktails, wine and beer to a number of alcohol free alternatives.

“There’s something delightful about sidewalk seating and the relaxed atmosphere that comes with it. The Terrace here at the Grand Hôtel is a given on lovely summer days, the perfect place to get together, socialize and relax,” said Pia Djupmark, CEO of the Grand Hôtel.

During the summer season, the Terrace is open seven days a week from lunch to 10pm, and is located 50 metres to the right of the main entrance of the Grand Hôtel.
