Pia Djupmark new CEO of Grand Hôtel

Grand Hôtel Stockholm is pleased to announce the appointment of Pia Djupmark as the hotel’s new CEO. Bringing with her extensive experience in the hotel industry, Djupmark joins the Grand Hôtel from a comparable post at Radisson Blu Royal Viking, where she had been employed in vari­ous positions since 1996.

In tandem with her work as CEO of Royal Viking, Djupmark was also Regional Director Sweden for the Rezidor Hotel Group, with responsibility for 10 wholly-owned hotels, including the Radisson Blu Waterfront, the Radisson Blu Strand Hotel and the Park Inn Hammarby Sjöstad. Her résumé includes several international assignments for international organisations and her career covers virtu­ally all disciplines within the hotel, with a focus on economy, sales, marketing and management. She was also nominated as “Manager of the Year” by the management magazine Chef.

Pia Djupmark assumed her new position as CEO of the Grand Hôtel in November 2013. “It is incred­ibly exciting to be working at what many consider to be Sweden’s leading and most venerable hotel. I look forward to continuing to develop the Grand Hôtel as a brand and product,” said Pia Djupmark.

Rich in history and tradition, Grand Hôtel Stockholm dates back more than 140 years and occupies a prime position on the city’s waterfront next to the National Museum and opposite the Royal Palace and Old Town. The Parliament buildings and Royal Opera House are within view, the best shopping district is less than minutes away and the departure point for boats to the archipelago is situated just 25-metres from the hotel.
