Edvin Chramer appointed new head chef of the Veranda

The Grand Hôtel has recruited Edvin Chramer as new head chef of the Veranda restaurant. Edvin joins the Veranda from Mathias Dahlgren’s Matsalen. His previous experience also includes chef at La Gazette in Paris and head chef at the Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo.

Edvin Chramer has worked in several leading kitchens around the world, bringing with him experience that will enable the Grand Hôtel to maintain the high level of quality at the Veranda, while further enhancing guest experience.

“Our goal, as always, is to provide a world-class menu and taste experience. And with Edvin Chramer, I am confident that the Veranda will reach new heights,” says Pia Djupmark, CEO, Grand Hôtel.

Edvin, in collaboration with the head chef of the Grand Hôtel, Andreas Askling, will put great emphasis on high-quality produce and producers. Using seasonal vegetables, meat and fish is a matter of course and moreover, planning the menu together with Swedish farms will further raise the bar on Veranda’s menu. Together, they will continue to uphold and evolve the Veranda’s gastronomic traditions and visions.

“Throughout my career I’ve worked with colleagues all over the world, which has exposed me to a wide variety of food, people and culture. This has had a strong impact on my cooking. I look forward to working with the skilled staff in the kitchen at the Veranda,” says Edvin Chramer, Head Chef, the Veranda restaurant.
